Slow dried strawberry chips.
1This recipe is so easy, my kids can make it. It’s also great for using up the strawberries that have gone just a little too soft. No need to throw them away now.
2 Use a piece of parchment paper on a baking pan. Preheat the oven to about 200°F. Slice the strawberries as then as you can get them. Our use a mandoline which you can get on Amazon I have any store that has cooking utensils. Once they are sliced, leave them out evenly on the parchment paper. Put them in the oven and cook for about two hours depending on the crispness that you want. Turn them over, about halfway through the time. This will speed up the drying process.
3As an additional option, you can brush them with lemon juice prior to putting them in the oven. It changes the flavor just like me and give them a little zest. It also acts as a natural preservative in case you’re not planning to eat them right away.
4 Make sure you store these in an airtight container. They are really sensational right out of the oven though, so you may not have a chance to to store them !
5Enjoy!

Tried it. Mine didn’t turn out so good. Maybe to ripe? Too thin? Too much lemon juice? Would love to try again.
