1Brown ground beef, drain, rinse and add spices. Add low sodium chicken broth, quartered cherry tomatoes and red onion. Optionally, add 1 Tbls of milk for a "sour cream" effect.

This yummy taco soup counts as 1 protein and depending on how much tomato & onion you use, make sure you count those veggies!


100 g Lean ground beef

Cherry tomatoes, ripe, quartered

Red onions, chopped

1 tbsp Chili powder

1/4 tsp Garlic powder

1/4 tsp Onion powder

1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper (adjust to taste)

1/4 tsp Oregano

1/2 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Cumin

Salt & pepper to taste

1 tbsp Milk, optional

1 cup Low sodium chicken broth
