1Add water and seasonings to large pot and stir until seasonings are dissolved and well combined. Add raw chicken breasts, turn heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low and cook until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Remove the chicken pieces from the pot and pour the remaining stock into mason jars or other containers and place in the fridge or freezer to use at a later time. (I often use ice cube trays)
2This also leaves you with 6 chicken servings for the HCG diet. These can also be refrigerated or frozen for later use with many other HCG diet recipes.
3This broth can be used as a base to make any of the HCG soups, or a few tablespoons of the broth can be added to the bottom of a skillet to keep veggies from sticking to the pan.
4* Poultry blend seasoning contains ground sage, ground thyme, ground rosemary, ground nutmeg, ground marjoram and ground black pepper so if you need to substitute for these, please do. Or if you like one flavor more than others, it's okay to add more of the desired seasoning.
5Check garlic and onion powders - as always, avoid anything contain sugar, starches, oils, preservatives, and words ending in -ose, -tol, or -dextrin as these are not safe for phase 2 of the HCG Diet.
